Hailing from the slums of Los Kempos, Belgian three-piece Itches was awakened from cryogenic sleep paralysis in 2020, and has been on a bender ever since. The band’s sound is infused with cheap canned alcoholic beverages, resulting in a perfect blend of wild garage poppiness, 60s freakbeat, primal punk, and most of all, heavyweight jangle.
August 23 will see the release of Itches’ debut album ‘Two Flies In One Clap’. The name is a bastardisation of a well-known Belgian saying, meaning ‘to kill two birds with one stone’. The album was recorded live at the studio of underground garage hero Rafael Valles Hilario (Tuff Guac, MOAR, Mitraille) and captures the band's raw sound.
The band's lo-fi catchiness is reminiscent of acts like Black Lips, Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall. Itches has played support shows for Tramhaus, Meltheads and Hockey Dad and is ready to conquer stages in Belgium and beyond. Their performances are electrifying and their energy is contagious. But please go see for yourself, if you can catch them alive!
