INFO The Norwegian sextet Kaizers Orchestra build cathartic rock songs that borrow heavily from the tunes of Tin Pan Alley and Eastern European folk music. Already on the first album in 2001, they shook the Norwegian music scene, won 3 prices for the release including a NOR Grammy, critical acclaim from nationwide press and went on to become the highest-selling rock debut ever issued in the Norwegian language. Since then, they have been #1 on the NOR album charts with each studio album, sold out shows on most of their tours, won 3 additional Norwegian Grammys (for music videos, rock, artist of the year), as well as commercial success in Europe with many tours and festival appearance, like playing the mainstage at Roskilde three times.
