One of the greatest artists in Brazil, Marisa Monte is gradually releasing her discography on vinyl, and this month it's the turn of “Verde, Anil, Amarelo, Cor-de-Rosa e Carvão.” Another successful album by Marisa, this was the second recorded in the studio, released in 1994. She co-produced it with Arto Lindsay and composed it alongside Nando Reis, Arnaldo Antunes, and Carlinhos Brown. By the way, it is Carlinhos Brown who is credited with the classic “Segue o Seco,” which won a video award in 5 categories at the VMB, an important MTV award at the time. In addition to this track, the album features the hits “Dança da Solidão,” a version of the song by Paulinho da Viola, “De Mais Ninguém” (Marisa Monte/Arnaldo Antunes), “Ao Meu Redor” (Nando Reis), “Na Estrada” (Marisa Monte/Nando Reis/Carlinhos Brown), “Balança Pema” (Jorge Benjor), and “Pale Blue Eyes” (Lou Reed).
