A1 Rayn B1 Leggy Italian DeeJay, MARASCIA started his artistic career in the mid 90s working for some independent labels such as ACV and Under Control. As a remixer he has been asked to remix tracks by big names such as TODD TERRY, JOHN AQUAVIVA and RICHIE HAWTIN on legendary labels such as Illegal and Strictly Rhythm. MARASCIA has also released on Boxer Recordings, Dee-P-erfect and Lickin' Records. This is MARASCIA's debut release on Gigolo and it's a powerful 12" that's sure to rock you from head to toe. The slamming single kicks off with the raucous electro romp that is Rayn. Tight beats and caustic synth sounds make this a heavy-weight tune that is ideal for playing out late on when the club is pumping. MARASCIA captures on vinyl that unique energy that is guaranteed to make the party happen. His style is instantly recognisable and MARASCIA is the only artist that ever entered the dance charts (over 10 weeks on the Deejay parade) with tribal house tracks creating a sort of little revolution in the dance scene. In 2002 Marascia released Shake It - a track that was to be one of the most played dance tracks of that year and received air-time on all the major Italian radio networks (radio Deejay, kiss kiss network, radio Italia network) and finally reached number 8 in the American Billboard dance chart. B-side of the new 12", Leggy is bound to raise the roof whenever it gets dropped on the dance-floor. MARASCIA mixes an irresistible groove with powerful atmospherics, the result is an explosive mix of electro sound and tribal atmospheres that made tracks like Rayn and Leggy a new step in dance music. The digital release contains bonus track Rotten 2008 which is also most worthy of attention. MARASCIA has already caught the ear of DJs such as LAURENT GARNIER, ZOO BRAZIL and JOHN DIGWEED with previous releases. He recently released a 12", Sawless/Sineless, together with DUSTY KID on Systematic Recordings which also went down well.
