PARLEM / TIRANT LO BLANC

With just a handful of digital EPs under his belt but quite a few tricks up his sleeves, Valencian producer Upercent takes the leap forwards with his debut 12" 'Parlem/Tirant Lo Blanc', entering Kompakt's future-facing KX collection at the 20th position. The A-side goes straight for the jugular, pumping out a pressurized bass swirl as muffled percs and rhythmic accents strongly recall Gui Boratto in the vein of his seminal track 'ArquipeÙlago'. 'Tirant Lo Blanc' relies on a brass-heavy alloy of deep techno and revisited carnival themes, heaving 4/4 mechanics out the window and into the streets as the red-hot trumpets and martial pulse of the fanfare prepare to smash in the doors of clubland wide open.
