Album or track playing
For this project he called on a luthier, Léo Maurel, to create a unique instrument: l'Engoulevent. Borrowing his name from a nocturnal bird (the Nightjar in english), this small portable organ, whose flutes are sometimes replaced by bird calls, is made up of 24 outputs, each equipped with a solenoid valve controlled in voltage via a MIDI interface.
The instrument was first imagined around the idea of a soundscape, an invented, fantasized landscape. The instrument plays nature and the music of a fictional space-time.
