He spent the last 10 years clanking his chains around the London transport system like a protagonist from a Knut Hamsun novel. They say he emerged from the suburban witchcraft and hard drug fallout of the late 90øs, the bastard offspring of John Dee, The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists and the Parachute Regiment, with the sound of Terry Riley, the Belleville Three and Glenn Branca ringing in his ears. He put Theo Parrish on to an empty club and cleared dancefloors at Analog city. He sold secondhand records in some of London's rudest secondhand record shops and spent months arguing with Sam Weaver over which edit of Illuminations to release (as one half of the terrifying MK Ultra/Afrobeat project Hungry Ghost). He caused security alerts at out of town airports, had psychedelic Menorcan nightmares, stitched his wounded heart back together with spite and meditation and channelled the power of a thousand broken dreams through the prism of Baby Ford, John Fahey, Tops Vis a Vis, Holger Czukay and Stelazine. He released Invisible College and Bursting the Bubble. He was there at the start of Dissident with Andy Blake. He remixed Franz Ferdinand (for money.......where was the cheque?) and Subway (for love). He was played by Harvey, Weatherall and James Holden. He is Gatto Fritto. FEEDBACK Man I got to hand it to you and them, this is my favorite album release so far this year. I think I can really sum it up and say that this is the music that I wish I made myself, but since I didn't, I am fucking happy that someone else did. I don't even have a fave track bc like all of them together as a whole, but from Lucifer Morning Star through Beach head is where I really get into it like crazy. Been a big favourite on the home stereo at Beedle towers. Have been playing Invisible College at my gigs and it's getting a great reaction.
