GAANDEWEG

Fred Verhaegen, known for Mambo Chillum and Durango, returns with his alter ego Kaai Man. Together with his band, the Oeverlozen, he brings Gaandeweg, an intimate second album with nine songs that go straight to the heart.

Gaandeweg contains a collection of profound songs, each telling its own story about love, vulnerability and the search for trust and connection.

The meditative ‘Wind’, the introspective ‘Tot de zon opkomt’ and the poignant ‘Waanzin’ - a moving reflection on the struggle with addiction - invite reflection. ‘Melk en Blood’ touches on the fragile dynamic between fathers and daughters, while “Halfstok” pays an intimate ode to loss. 

Other gems like ‘Pluk de dag’, ‘Marylou’, ‘Liefde Zonder Eind’ and ‘We Blijven Stil' reinforce the album's rich theme. One of the most beautiful passages comes from Liefde Zonder Eind’:
