Fuse remains the premier techno club of Belgium and has been so since its opening in 1994. It started off as a heaven for high quality techno with a reputation for bringing in the best and most innovative DJs on the scene. Alongside residents Pierre and Deg, DJs such as Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Sven Vaeth, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and lots of others seem to enjoy playing here as much as the crowd enjoys partying to their sets. These innovators of electronic music constantly come back for more and rate Fuse as one of their favourite clubs. Alongside Stockholm™s Cari Lekebusch and Joel Mull Adam Beyer has become synonymous with the techno sound of Sweden, which has quite literally shaken the world since the mid-nineties. From the driving percussive force of his Drumcode label to the more open electronic miasma on his current Truesoul and Mad Eye imprints, Beyer remains one of the biggest and most influential producer/DJs on the planet. Ever keen to continually evolve and develop, his three studio albums ˜Decoded™ (Planet Rhythm, 1995), ˜Protection™ (Drumcode, 1999) and ˜Ignition Key™ (Truesoul, 2002) aptly show the Swede™s studio development from raw diamond to the polished article. He™s come a long way from sneaking underage into Stockholm™s blossoming acid house scene but would also be the first to admit that he™s still got just as long and interesting journey ahead of him. Making his name originally with heavily percussive peak time techno that his labels Drumcode and Code Red had helped to define, Beyer™s production style and DJing has evolved somewhat over the last five years whereby the tempo has come down and melody and a stripped down minimalism have come to the fore. With releases on the likes of Plus 8 and his own Mad Eye series spearheading his production approach, you are just as likely to find Beyer DJing alongside the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath and Mathew Jonson as Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier or Dave Clarke.
