Unknown It goes without saying that the Belgian band Amatorski is unique in its kind. Combining an enormous versatility with a consistent and captivating sound is their trademark. After their recent work on soundtracks and on multimedia project 'Deleting Borders', after touring all around Europe last year, they will be releasing their new album "From Clay To Figures" in April 2014 (on Crammed Discs). In 2010 the Belgian audience fell in love with their debut EP 'Same Stars We Shared', including the radio hit 'Come Home'. A year later, the Benelux release of their atmospheric album 'tbc' exceeded already high expectations. In 2013 Amatorski was signed to Crammed Discs for a worldwide release of the 'tbc'/'Same Stars We Shared' combo. The band toured extensively, from Germany to France, from Spain to the UK, from Switzerland to Slovakia, Austria and Hungary. In the meantime they created soundtracks for television and for a Dutch movie, and their acclaimed interactive multimedia project 'Deleting Borders' explored crossovers between music, internet and video art. The new album was created over the course of last year. During a couple of months, a new batch of songs was moulded in a variety of places, at home, in the band's studio and on the road. As a band Amatorski is constantly going through a growth process. On the edge of knowing and not knowing, a story unfolds, abstract thoughts become concrete and a new musical landscape takes shape. The new songs sound less secretive, more open and more hopeful. Amatorski naturally keep their eyes on the future, without trying too hard to be futuristic. As artists, they not only meticulously elaborate their songs, but are also continually remodeling their own musical identity. http://www.amatorski.be
