He began his own label, Palette, in 1996 as an outlet for his own productions. Now celebrating over 51 releases, the label has expanded immensely, releasing artists such as The Rip Off Artist, Pieter K, DJ Abstract, Dominick Martin, Dave Hughes and John Tejada's solo work as well as his highly-celebrated collaborations with Arian Leviste and Justin Maxwell. Tejada's production work is unbelievably prolific, releasing over 11 albums for labels such as Plug Research, Playhouse and Immigrant as John Tejada, including three as I'm Not A Gun with guitarist Takeshi Nishimoto. Beyond Palette, he's released EP's with the likes of Ferox, Sino, Mosaic, 7th City, deFocus, Organised Noise, Residual Recordings, A13, 1200 Music, PulseWith and ~scape, among many others. His remix work is endless, collating a list of enviable labels including Revolve:r, Ghostly, Simple Records, KMS, Buzzin' Fly, Gigolo Records and Cocoon Recordings. Tejada's versatile productions are internationally recognised as being created for, and being as effective in, both nightclubs and homes. His expansive work has a distinct melodic spin and divine compositional qualities, delicately weaving in details and layers. As a DJ, Tejada tours the world over, often teaming up with production partner Arian Leviste for live shows.
