Following a year full of highlights on stages of festivals such as Best Kept Secret (NL), Down The Rabbit Hole (NL), boillerroom.tv (UK), Braindance (BE) and Fusion Festival (DE), Rotkat Records starts 2020 with a big surprise: they release Borokov Borokovs second and third studio-album as a 'two for the price of one' deal, on CD as well as on vinyl. The first album is called 'Enkel Duetten' and only contains duets. It is a collection of 11 songs on which 26 people collaborated and a desperate attempt of Borokov Borokov to express themselves and others in more than 10 genres.Men and women such as Dijf Sanders (GameboyzIIMen), Frederic Croene, Fenne Kuppens (Whispering Sons), Ludo de Vriendt (WWWATER), Martha Maieu (Penus), Mathieu Terryn (Bazart), Marcel Vanthilt (Arbeid Adelt), Marka (Allez Allez), SSHT, The Germans and W. Ravenveer offer musical contributions in the form of Gameboy-bleeps, blowing the fuse, amateur choral singing, cheap excuses, wet piano tunes and the closing of doors. The music was recorded in studio SPOOK, the backstage area of BKS (visitor center safaripark), the artist village of DITW, the waiting room of de Hulpkas voor Werkloosheidsuitkeringen - Uitbetalingsbureau Antwerpen, Het Bos, Café Bommel, Hotel Viscardo and some other indefinable places. The title of the second album corresponds to the genre which the band plays on this record (during 38 minutes and 20 seconds): Wachtmuziek (music for waiting). 9 songs that can serve as a soundtrack while waiting for Borokov Borokov's fourth studio album 'Somewhere in Belgium', but also songs that were made in the same period as 'Enkel Duetten': each song is a onetaker, immediately recorded on an analogue tape machine, registrations of sudden flashes of inspiration while waiting for collaborators and duets. An antidote against the command-Z workflow, the neverending re-finalization of versions, the sausaging of music and Production Perfect. A tribute to pushing the record button and the irrevocability of the subsequent moment.
