Already one of Belgium™s biggest techno exports with over 15 years of DJ experience and a multitude of killer techno cuts on esteemed labels such as Primate, Intec and his own MB Elektronics and MB Selektions, his mixing style and productions are known the world over and he has become one of the biggest headliner names in techno. Fifteen years of sacrifice and dedication have seen Belgian™s number one DJ break through the national borders to join the big league of worldwide techno artists. Marco Bailey™s own productions frequently appear in the set lists of Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Laurent Garnier and Sven Väth but don™t let the list of big names mislead you: although ambitious, he™s a self-made man with a primary mission to entertain people. And that™s exactly what he does here on his new album ˜E=MB2™. 'E=MB2' sees Marco team up once again with long term studio partner Tom Hades for his first artist album since 2004™s ˜Rude Boy™. Whilst the intervening mix compilations ˜Positive Disorder™ (2005) and ˜Live at Ageha™ (2007) kept us suitably pinned to the dancefloor, here Marco and Tom explore other possibilities as well as their favoured exploits into the underbelly of the nocturnal club environment. At times cinematatic or even touching on rock influences, electro, minimal and of course peak time techno, Marco and Tom flex their collective studio muscle into new twisted forms. From the opening guitar flecked ˜Adult Entertainment™ to the hypnotic tunnelled techno of ˜Blast™, the thumping electro bass of ˜Rhythm is my Life™ and the rolling piano of ˜Childhood™ and downtempo subtlety of ˜Café Latte™ and the closing ˜Final Arrivals™, Marco Bailey and Tom Hades show a more mature artistic side to their studio work.
