The since 2006 DJ/Producer duo Taron-Trekka which on the label Brut! plied its trade, impressed with the first FAT release 2009 label mates and the crowds out there in the temples of the dance lust. And so much happier it is, that the two dudes come back at us and right with a 4 track-er, which seems to have a sense for musicality and significance of history. There is this multi-faceted-ness, paved with the unmistakable Trekka signature plotted between deepness and a compulsive-wholeness - if you will - trip of a production. They manage a higher value with a foxy sample artistry that leaves the scent of obsession and encyclopedic knowledge. With every piece there is a fully breathing house construct taken apart, where an ethereal over jazzy to techno possibility appears. Taron-Trekka has already with but a few releases developed as a trusted source for solid and tradition straddling music. The soul of grooves fills the room and the middle of the music is never faked - there is a contemplative 'Nenner Soul' which accompanies everything. A1 Blue Cinema The old disco-trance house opens into a dance bar of jazzy riffs. As well on the top and bottom there is exactly so much that a standing still is not possible. The connection from late night and a fully bass outfit along with a conga traced out and irresistible device to groove. A2 Colours Play me the Rhodes baby! A decent, smooth early starter which opens a funk infiltrated deep phase bridge... B1 Mr. No (Where Is The Magic) Dragging, heavy, filth harken to a fierce iron working. Here there are two fellas that love the blurred lines between Carl-techno and Panorama house as the setting for their film. B2 Kiyasu A clue, that music from passion cannot be separated. Rare groove with the stuff of the dirty thumps from deep below. A real example from moody love music. A1 Blue Cinema A2 Colours B1 Mr.No (where is the magic) B2 Kiyasu
